Chris is Partner & R&D Regional Director based out of the firm’s Grand Rapids, Michigan office. His responsibilities include business development, field investigation, and credit substantiation for R&D credits claimed by the clients with whom he works.
When Chris joined Tri-Merit in 2011, he brought with him 14 years of experience from some of the best-known companies in the HVAC/R industry. His previous experience includes roles in engineering, manufacturing, sales, product management, and procurement. He also spent time in business development with responsibility for a global product line. This experience has positioned him well to assist his clients in finding and maximizing engineering-based tax credits. Chris has helped his clients recover nearly $80 million in federal tax dollars by taking advantage of the research and development tax credit.
Chris obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 2004.
