Chase Covert joined Tri-Merit in 2021, beginning his career in the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) practice. In mid-2023, he fully transitioned to the R&D Tax Credit team, where he now specializes in data analytics, tool development, and advanced Excel solutions. Chase plays a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support accurate, defensible credit studies.
A native of Southwest Michigan, Tri-Merit represents Chase’s first professional role after college. He brings a strong analytical foundation to his work, holding a background in Data Analytics from Indiana University.
Outside of work, Chase enjoys staying active and exploring new hobbies. You’ll often find him playing fastpitch or slowpitch softball, golfing, cooking, or traveling with his wife. He’s also a big fan of live sporting events and proudly cheers on Michigan teams—Go Blue!
