Andy Lane is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tri-Merit, a leading specialty tax services firm helping businesses identify, document, and defend federal and state tax incentives. Since co-founding the firm in 2007, Andy has guided Tri-Merit’s growth into a nationally recognized provider of R&D tax credits, cost segregation, energy incentives, and other specialty tax services.
With a background in engineering and manufacturing, Andy brings a practical, technical perspective to tax strategy, allowing him to bridge the gap between innovation and compliance. He has overseen hundreds of complex studies across a wide range of industries and is known for his deep expertise in audit-ready documentation and defensible credit methodologies.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
